Some dogs are chaos in a small body. Some take twenty minutes to decide if they like you. Some will steal your spot on the sofa the second you look away. We love them for it.
At Minki, we want to get to know your dog properly. The games they love, the walks that get them going, the way they like to be fussed over. We keep our client list small so every dog gets something real. Not a service. Not a slot. Someone who's genuinely invested in them.
Our story
I've had a soft spot for dogs my whole life. In 2020, I started turning that into something real. What began as a side business quickly grew into a full client base and a packed schedule that I genuinely looked forward to every day.
For six years I balanced that alongside a corporate career in Bristol. But the more the business grew, the harder it was to ignore what it was telling me. In 2026 I left my job, moved to Toronto, and launched Minki as my full time focus.
Small dogs have always been my thing. Having one of my own and caring for so many others over the years means I understand them beyond the basics. Their personalities, their quirks, the little things that make them feel settled and safe somewhere new.
